Marine areas beyond national jurisdiction (ABNJ) are those parts of the global ocean that aren’t under the jurisdiction of any nation. That includes the High Seas and much of the Earth’s seabed: Over 60% of the Earth’s ocean area (and over 90% of its ocean volume) are ABNJ.
